We are excited to announce that Variety Fun is teaming up with Chicago-based protein bar company RXBAR in a brand partnership for the month of August.
As part of this collaboration, RXBAR’s bestselling Peanut Butter Chocolate bar will feature in both our FUN and FIT snack boxes throughout the month of August, 2019.
This joint effort signals a new direction for our e-commerce startup, which now offers brand partnerships for brands in the snack niche; which are featured in our monthly subscription box deliveries.
It makes sense that Variety Fun and RXBAR, 2 brands who are no strangers to disrupting the snack food industry, would end up working together.
We’re proud to work with a brand that is so refreshingly authentic.
So, how did our brands get their start in the food industry?
It’s taken a lot of hard work to get to where we are today, but it is through this labor of love that we have learned to stand by our values, no matter the cost.
We believe in our products, and both Variety Fun and RXBAR have a strong desire to bring you and your family a wholesome snacking experience that makes everyone feel good, both inside and out.
But at the same time, we’ve also learned how much hard work and dedication it takes to start a business, nurture it until it becomes successful, and then keep that momentum going...

So, in honor of our new partnership, we want to share how each brand got its start.
The A-Z’s of RXBAR
While there were plenty of brands in the category at the time, a good majority missed the mark when it came to health conscious ingredients.
They promoted the nutritional benefits of their bars, while also packing them with added salts and sugars.
It was this realization that sparked a desire in Rahal and Smith to create a truly wholesome product.
Thus the RXBAR was born.
In a nutshell: RXBAR is a protein bar that’s simply formulated and lists every ingredient (all which you can easily pronounce) it contains on the front of its minimalistic packaging.
It’s not just a catchy slogan that makes for good branding.
It’s also one that promotes trust through transparency; which is very important since we’re living at a time when moms, dads, and everyone else in the world worries about whether or not they’re getting the whole scoop on what’s in their and their family’s food.
And it’s not just healthy ingredients that make RXBAR stand out in a saturated market.
High quality is another area they take very seriously, as well.

In 21+ years of business, RXBAR has gone from operating out of mom’s basement to a makeshift kitchen rental to landing their first regional grocery deal with Wegman’s.

Variety Fun is a NY-based snack subscription company that was founded by 3 guys in Brooklyn - Yonatan Pinhasov (President), Ilya Avshalumov (CEO), and Sam Avshalom (COO).
We began four years ago, initially with the idea to sell variety packs of tea on Amazon. And it is on Amazon that we quickly noticed there was a market for a snack-based subscription.
Over the past few years we have grown to a multi-million dollar operation; Selling our snack boxes to hundreds of thousands of customers across the country from two warehouses in Brooklyn, NY.
We now offer a monthly subscription service for both the home and office.
In the handful of years we’ve been in business, the brand has grown from a small operation to managing over 500 brand partnerships, which include Frito Lay, Kellogg, Doritos, Cheetos, Nabisco, and more.
We continue to have the same startup mentality that inspires a can-do-must-do attitude to our 30+ employee operation.
